Social Policy Studies
The inaugural issue
Call for Papers
The Social Policy Studies, a newly established social policy journal based in Hong Kong, is calling for papers for its inaugural issue. The focus of the issue is on "Asian Welfare in Crisis". We welcome quality papers on social policy and social services in Hong Kong and/or Asian countries, which take a critical look at the problems or crises experienced by these countries in recent years. The interpretation of 'welfare crisis' could be broad and flexible. It may cover policy issues and problems in individual countries, comparisons of welfare policy in different countries, or policy issues in the global context. Other ideas and suggestions are welcome.
The deadline of submission of manuscripts will be 30th December 2002. The first issue of the journal will be published by late 2003 or early 2004. A few details for the journal and a guideline for contributors are attached for your reference.
You are very welcome to contact the Managing Editor (Dr. Chan Kam Wah, e-mail sskwchan@polyu.edu.hk) for further information and details.
